Supporting, inspiring and helping to recruit Christian foster carers in Derby and Nottinghamshire.

There are over 1500 looked-after children across Derby City and Nottinghamshire.

Locally and nationally there is a huge shortage of foster carers who can provide loving family homes for these children.

100 Homes works with Derby City and Nottinghamshire County Council by working alongside churches to promote fostering, refer potential foster carers and support those foster carers through the process and once they are approved.

Safe Families Home for Good partnership arrangement

We are really excited to share with you that from May 2026 Safe Families Home for Good and 100 Homes 50 Families are now working in partnership across the D2N2 area (Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire) to provide a joined-up response to the needs of vulnerable children and families.

Together, we are inspiring and supporting individuals and churches to play their part—whether through volunteering, fostering, adoption, or supported lodgings, or by helping to create communities of belonging. By combining 100H 50F’ strong local relationships and experience in foster carer recruitment with SFHfG’s expertise supporting vulnerable families, national infrastructure, training, and wider support offer, we are creating a clearer, more coordinated pathway for people to respond and ensuring they are well supported throughout their journey.

Fostering Sunday

Every year we hold Fostering Sunday, where we encourage churches across the area to dedicate part or all of their Sunday Service to think about fostering.

God is a father to the fatherless and He sets the lonely in families
